Overview

The Prospect Training Course (PTC) is an intensive 5-month training program designed to prepare Cadets for leadership, service, and structured integration within the Ta-Seti Nation (TSN). This course is managed and executed by the IX Corps, Joint Forces of the Ta-Seti Nation (9CJFTSN) and serves as the required entry-level training for all prospective members.

Cadets may enroll in one of two 5-month training cycles:

  • Summer Training Cycle: August – December
  • Winter Training Cycle: February – June

Completion of the Prospect Training Course (PTC) and the annual Training Encampment Operations qualifies Cadets for formal appointment into one of the three TSN sectors:

  1. Medjay Sector (JFTSN Active Service)
  2. Nubia Sector (Leadership Roles Outside JFTSN)
  3. Alliance Sector (Allied Members)

Graduation from the PTC is celebrated in a formal ceremony, where Cadets receive their appointments or promotions based on their training performance and leadership identity.


Structure of the Prospect Training Course

The PTC is a structured, curriculum-based program combining academic instruction, leadership training, small team operations, and peer evaluations. The course is designed to develop discipline, critical thinking, and competency in a controlled, hierarchical environment.

Training Cycle Breakdown

The 5-month training cycle is divided into three Evaluation Periods (EPs):

Evaluation Period III (Month 5) Applied Leadership & Small Teams Operations Training Decision-making, command responsibilities, problem-solving.

Each evaluation period includes exams, assessments, and hands-on training exercises to ensure Cadets meet the required performance standards.


Core Components of the Prospect Training Course

1. Leadership & Chain of Command Training

  • Introduction to TSN’s Hierarchical Structure: Cadets learn the rank structure, reporting protocols, and responsibilities within the Joint Forces of Ta-Seti Nation.
  • Command & Leadership Development: Cadets rotate through team leadership positions to develop command presence and decision-making skills.
  • Five-Paragraph Operation Order (OPORD) Execution: Training in military-style planning and strategic mission execution.

2. Academic Coursework & Theoretical Training

  • TSN Core Values & Code of Conduct
  • Military History & Ta-Seti Nation Traditions
  • Conflict Resolution & Ethical Leadership
  • Team Coordination & Small Unit Operations
  • Leadership Decision-Making & Strategic Thinking

3. Practical Training & Small Team Operations

  • Team-Building Exercises: Cadets work in teams and squads to complete problem-solving challenges.
  • Simulation Training: Cadets are placed in real-world scenarios to test their ability to lead under pressure.
  • Performance Task Assessments (PTA): Leadership capabilities are evaluated through structured missions and command responsibilities.

4. Physical & Mental Resilience Training

  • Endurance & Stamina Development: While not physically intensive, Cadets are expected to demonstrate discipline, commitment, and mental endurance throughout training.
  • Problem-Solving Under Pressure: Cadets must complete assignments with limited time and resources, reinforcing adaptability and strategic thinking.
  • Teamwork & Peer Evaluations: Cadets are evaluated on their ability to function within a unit, emphasizing cohesion and cooperation.

Grading & Advancement Criteria

Cadets must meet the following performance standards to progress through the training cycle and qualify for graduation:

Category Requirement for Advancement
Academics Must pass all Tour of Duty examinations with a score of 70% or higher.
Leadership Must serve in at least one command position and receive a Capable ‘C’ or higher rating in Performance Task Assessments.
Community Service Must complete a community service project demonstrating leadership and service.
Volunteerism Must participate as a volunteer at a BDSM or Leather Culture event and receive a satisfactory Volunteer Evaluation rating.
Moral Character Must consistently demonstrate honor, integrity, and ethical behavior (per Chapter 9, Honor Code).
Attendance Must maintain 90% attendance in remote training and mandatory participation in Training Encampment Operations.

Cadets who fail to meet these standards may be recycled to a future training cycle or dismissed.


Graduation & Sector Appointments

At the conclusion of the Training Encampment Operations, graduates are formally appointed to their respective sectors in a ceremonial event marking their transition to Full Membership or Allied Membership.

1. Medjay Sector (Executive Management in JFTSN)

Cadets entering the Medjay Sector are assigned militaty ranks based on their identity and training performance:

  • Commissioned Officer Branch (Dominant): Second Lieutenant (2LT)
  • Warrant Officer Branch (Switch): Warrant Officer 1 (WO1)
  • Noncommissioned Officer Branch (Submissive or Slave): Sergeant (SGT)

2. Nubia Sector (Community Engagement)

Cadets choosing non-military roles enter the Nubia Sector, which supports community engagement initiatives:

  • Team Lead (Dominant)
  • Team Specialist (Switch)
  • Team Support (Submissive or Slave)

3. Alliance Sector (Allied Members)

Cadets who are non-BIPOC enter the Alliance Sector, serving as operational support liaisons and advisors:

  • Team Lead (Dominant)
  • Team Specialist (Switch)
  • Team Support (Submissive or Slave)

Significance of the Prospect Training Course

The PTC is more than just a training program—it is a rite of passage into the Ta-Seti Nation. Through its intensive curriculum, leadership evaluations, and tactical challenges, the PTC ensures that all members:

  • Understand and embody the values, discipline, and mission of the Ta-Seti Nation.
  • Are fully prepared for leadership and responsibility within their designated sector.
  • Have proven their competency, teamwork, and ability to serve the TSN community effectively.

Successful completion of the PTC and Training Encampment Operations confirms a Cadet’s place within the Ta-Seti Nation, marking the beginning of their service and leadership journey.
