The Organizational Values of Ta-Seti Nation are the core ethical principles that guide the actions and behaviors of its members, fostering unity and mutual respect within the community. These values ensure that members prioritize the well-being of others, act with honesty, and treat everyone with kindness and dignity. These principles promote accountability and cohesion, laying the foundation for a supportive and inclusive environment where all members can thrive.

Through a commitment to these values, Ta-Seti Nation cultivates a culture of personal growth, ethical leadership, and community engagement. Each member is encouraged to embody these principles in both their personal and organizational roles, reinforcing the shared mission of empowerment and unity within the Leather and BDSM communities. By adhering to these values, members contribute to a respectful, accountable, and service-oriented culture that reflects the organization's broader mission and vision.

  1. Leather Core Values:

    The Leather Core Values serve as the ethical foundation for behavior, decision-making, and interactions within the Ta-Seti Nation and Leather Culture. These values emphasize the importance of loyalty, duty, honor, and respect, shaping the way members engage with one another and the broader community. Each value represents a commitment to integrity, responsibility, and a sense of service that strengthens the unity of the group and fosters an environment of trust and respect.

    These principles not only guide individual actions but also uphold the integrity of the community as a whole. Whether in leadership, service, or personal interactions, the Leather Core Values ensure that members maintain high ethical standards while striving to grow and contribute meaningfully to the Leather and BDSM community. By adhering to these values, members of Ta-Seti Nation cultivate a culture of accountability, mutual support, and perseverance in the face of challenges. The Leather Core Values are:

    1. Loyalty emphasizes unwavering support and faithfulness to the people and principles we stand by. It’s about building trust through mutual respect and dedication to those we serve and those who serve us.
    2. Duty involves taking responsibility for one’s commitments and ensuring tasks are completed with diligence and accountability. It reflects the importance of teamwork and following through on personal and collective promises.
    3. Honor is the mindful adherence to the values of Leather Culture, consistently reflecting them in one’s actions and rejecting dishonesty, theft, and deception. It represents pride in upholding the integrity of the community.
    4. Integrity means consistently doing what is morally and ethically correct, even when it is difficult. It involves acting with honesty and fairness, and setting an example for others by always adhering to the highest standards of conduct.
    5. Respect recognizes the achievements and contributions of others, acknowledging their earned positions and life experiences. It promotes treating everyone with dignity and affording them the status they have attained through their journey.
    6. Personal Courage is the willingness to confront fear, challenges, and adversity with steadfastness and resolve. It means standing up for what is right, even in the face of danger or opposition.
    7. Honesty requires adhering to the truth in all dealings, maintaining fairness, and being straightforward with others. It fosters trust and transparency, ensuring integrity in personal and community relationships.
    8. Perseverance is the determination to keep moving forward, even in the face of obstacles, setbacks, or opposition. It reflects a steadfast commitment to achieving goals and overcoming difficulties.
    9. Selfless Service involves putting the needs of others and the community above personal gain. It is about contributing one’s time, energy, and resources to benefit others, fostering a spirit of generosity and collaboration

    A pneumonic for remembering the Leather Core Values (loyalty, duty, honor, integrity, respect, personal courage, honesty, perseverance, and selfless service) is - Loyal Dragons Help Inspire Resilient People, Holding Promise and Service.

  2. The Medjay Code:
    The Medjay Code consists of principles adopted from the Core Values and the Leather Core Values. The Medjay Codes can be remembered with the acronym: LEADERSHIP. All Medjays should be able to recite the values listed in the Medjay Code.
    1. Loyalty: Medjays bear allegiance and faithfulness to Ta Seti Nation, and the units to which they belong.
    2. Education: Medjays are always learning, and willing to share their knowledge in their local leather communities. They learn as much as they can about being a good Medjay and they know the importance of becoming the best versions of themselves.
    3. Ambition: Medjays strive to attain the highest evaluation scores, ratings, and earn as many honor awards as possible. They set high goals for themselves and make long-range plans for serving the Leather Community with excellence.
    4. Duty: Medjays fulfill their obligations. They can be counted on to get the job done. They are trustworthy and hard-working. They take their duty assignments seriously by following their general orders and obeying all lawful orders they receive from superior officers and non-commissioned officers.
    5. Enthusiasm: Medjays are passionate about their jobs and as Medjays. They share their excitement about life with others, especially subordinates. Even tasks that seem boring are taken seriously and accomplished according to expectations.
    6. Respect: Medjays live the “Golden Rule” to treat others the way they would like to be treated. They are appreciative of the diversity and contributions of the many people in our society. They are friendly, tactful, and courteous.
    7. Selfless Service: Medjays give of their time, talents, and other resources to help others, especially the less fortunate. They do so selflessly and with a positive spirit. Medjays willingly participate in regular and meaningful service to their communities.
    8. Health: Medjays strive for high levels of health, wellness, and fitness. They get enough sleep, they eat healthy food, they participate in a variety of fitness activities, both individually and in groups, and they look out for their emotional well-being. They strive to be well-rounded individuals.
    9. Integrity: Medjays do what is right, both legally and morally. They are clean-minded and they set an example for others to follow. They do not lie, cheat, or steal, nor do they tolerate those who do these things. Medjays place a high value on honesty.
    10. Personal Courage: Medjays are willing to face physical and moral danger with confidence. That does not mean they are not afraid; rather it means they will face their fears and are able to be heroic in situations of physical danger and remain faithful to their values in situations requiring moral courage. They know when to say “no” to something they know to be wrong.

  3. The Ta-Seti Code:
    The Ta-Seti Code, rooted in the Leather Core Values of Selfless Service, Integrity, and Respect, serves as the guiding framework for the actions, behavior, and decision-making of every member within Ta-Seti Nation. These values unify members under a shared mission within the BDSM and Leather Culture community, fostering a sense of purpose and mutual respect. The acronym SIR encapsulates the code:

    1. Selfless Service means prioritizing others' needs
    2. Integrity involves being trustworthy and honest,
    3. Respect is demonstrated through kindness and politeness in all interactions.
